We are looking for an enthusiastic, sales focused, well-rounded and highly technical Senior Sales Engineer. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent customer facing, technical and organizational skills and previous experience in enterprise solutions sales. You get excited talking tech to all audiences, providing hands-on technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting POCs.As an integral part of the field sales team, you'll qualify and help close opportunities with new prospects and upsell existing customers. Your voice will be heard by the product team to help prioritize features based on input from prospects, customers, competitors, and partners. You will be the conduit of technical information in and out of the field and will be pivotal in securing success for customers and attaining company sales targets.Role:A senior technical pre-sales role reporting to the Director of Pre-sales Engineering at an established International Natural Language Processing AI company.Based on either the East Coast of San Francisco Bay Area, working closely with the Field Sales organization across the US and part of an international pre-sales team.The role will require developing a positive relationship with local sales people to manage and close a new and existing software sales pipeline.Ongoing technical account management with existing customers. Including second-line support and support escalation.Lead generation at events in combination with Sales and Marketing teams.Delivery of focused software and solution demonstrations to audiences at all levels.A solutions and consultative approach to software sales.Delivery of hands-on technical training to prospects and existing customers.Up to 25% travel (flexibility on scheduling & logistics).Qualifications required:Computer Science degree or other scientific degree with significant programming experience.Experience:Product Evangelist and Orator.
Experience speaking in front or executive level commercial decision makers.
Ted Talks and Meet-Up presentations.
Technical communication to end users.
Technical Account Management.
3 years experience in commercial software development in one or more of the following:
Familiarity with command line Linux
3 years experience in commercial software pre-sales and business development.
Solution Sales experience.Desirable Skills:Scripting: Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell.
RESTful web services and JSON.
NLP / Text Analytics.
noSQL document indexing technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene, MongoDB).
