Location: San Francisco, CA 94105

Company:
Our client is building a leading technology company and changing the way people learn. They make software that enables institutions and organizations to create personalized learning and training experiences that help people learn more efficiently and quantify what they know. They have a wide range of clients, from leading publishers (including Cengage, Elsevier, McGraw-Hill) to online course providers (such as edX) to innovative academic institutions (like ASU and NYU), small and medium- sized businesses, and technology companies.

Job Opportunity:
We're looking for an experienced product leader to turn our vision into reality. We're building the leading technology company focused on the "how" of learning. We make software and APIs that allow publishers, schools, or developers to make their curriculum adaptive, and give users a delightfully efficient learning experience. We've found plenty of product/market fit for our platform so far, but our work has just begun. We are not content experts or teachers; we're technologists, designers, and engineers who understand the importance of education.

Responsibilities:
-Internalizing our mission, and becoming a senior leader articulating the vision and priorities of our platform as it evolves
-Prioritize and articulate products and product features
-Work cross-functionally with engineers and designers to bring these products and features to reality
-As part of the leadership team, make decisions about our short- and long-term product evolution that will materially grow our business, and bring a business-focused mindset to our product team
-Analyze data to evaluate user behavior around existing and new features, and make these insights a part of product planning
-Make things happen: execute good ideas that come from our partners, and make sure that the whole team is doing its best work

Qualifications:
-You have deep analytical ability
-A degree in computer science or programming experience is a plus, or at a minimum, confidence working with technical peers
-You solve problems proactively: you don't just solve problems, you find problems to solve
-You're a leader: whether on display or in the background, you know how to work through different points of view and get your team on board with a common vision
-You thrive in collaborative team environments, and take feedback constructively
-You have experience with domain-specific challenges in product development, and are familiar with agile development practices
-3+ years of industry experience in a relevant role; previous product leadership a plus
-Experience in ed tech or education a plus but not required
-You are fast, adaptable, and enjoy variety
-You are looking to the future, and understand the importance of mobile on enterprise software
-You have excellent communication and project management skills
