Our client has created a marketplace where ad agencies and advertisers can connect with podcast publishers whose content is relevant to their advertising campaigns. Their platform provides both realtime data analytics and a unique ad insertion tool that helps podcasters integrate their ads wherever they choose into new and back catalog episodes. Podcasters create their own ad-read for their sponsors so that conversational endorsements are seamlessly weaved into content.
Our client supports and facilitates the direct connection between advertiser and podcast producer at each stage of the campaign. Their easy-to-use dashboard provides podcaster and advertiser with relevant measurements and analytics. No RSS migration is necessary for podcasters. You keep your hosting provider, and simply add a prefix to your RSS URL so that you can use our ad measurement and integration tools for your show.
The VP of Sales is responsible for selling podcast advertising to major brands and advertising agencies.
Achieve/Exceed quarterly revenue goals.
Ensure full maximization of revenue potential for podcasts by creating maximum value for advertisers.
Assist with establishing rate guidelines for all podcasts.
Implementing strategies/action plans to generate revenues for the platform.
Active solicitation of Key Advertisers and Target Advertisers to generate direct sales.
Create a proactive solicitation environment.
Assist the CEO in developing and implementing the budgeting and forecasting process.
Promote high visibility of the brand through active involvement in industry conferences.
Responsible for productive relationship management of customers. Demonstrate the ability to maintain professional boundaries.
Ensure that all communications with advertisers are handled in a timely fashion.
Be present to meet and greet potential and current advertisers as appropriate
Entertain prospective clients where appropriate
Understand key trends in the market and react in a timely manner with initiatives
Conduct weekly sales calls to existing, advertising accounts as well as new business in all market segments.
Travel to conduct outside calls and promote the solution.
Document all activities in Sales Force software.
Develop marketing strategies by analyzing historical, current and future market trends and create selling strategies to capture the maximum amount of revenue.
Maintain focus on a Proactive Solicitation environment.
Promote high visibility of the brand through active involvement in industry associations and conferences.
Assist in the development of the annual budget.
Participate in management meetings to discuss budget forecast, rate and pace reports.
Partner with operations team to notify, coordinate customer specifications, effectively respond to customer issues and comments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Participate in weekly staff meeting.
Participate in any outside projects as assigned.
Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned by CEO.
Minimum of 10 years previous national sales experience to brands or media agencies.
College degree preferably business, marketing, PR or other relevant field.
Must be able to read, write, an understand English.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including leading and participating in formal presentations.
Strong negotiation skills as well as the ability to cultivate leads, build relations, and close the deal.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong desire to deliver high quality of customer service.
Detail oriented and organized as it pertains to accuracy and efficiency.
