We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer to add to our QA team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will work closely with the Engineering and Product Management teams to help set the plan and strategy for testing new features, prioritize automation tasks and develop the automation for it. Key to this role is being a self-starter and self-motivated and know how to prioritize your work. You should have experience designing test plans, identifying, testing and filing bugs, and writing and creating automated tests. More importantly you need to have previous experience with validation and understand the bigger picture in terms of how other features can be affected or impacted by a fix. This job is 50% manual testing and 50% automation testing, so you should have experience with both.
-Contribute to and maintain the automation test suite.
-Perform integration, regression, ad-hoc, and edge-case tests for production release cycles.
-Previous proven experience successfully writing and creating automated tests.
-Conduct validation on bugs understand how other features are affected or impacted by a bug fix and conduct risk analysis to mitigate these issues.
-Help develop and enhance the continuous integration testing framework.
-Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, and at least 3 years of experience implementing and managing automation tests and frameworks.
-Strong experience with Python building and/or maintaining automation frameworks.
-Previous experience using Selenium Web Driver to automate UI.
-Strong knowledge of SQL database (required) and Unix/Linux (preferred).
-Minimum of 2 years experience with Agile methodologies and continuous integration processes.
-Previous experience with UI testing, black box/functional/automated/regression and performance testing.
-Previous successful experience building product test strategies, writing and executing test plans, filing bugs, and communicating successfully and effectively with the team about issues, risks, and product quality.
-Flexible personality, with an ability to adapt quickly to changes and a willingness to learn about new testing technologies.
-Previous experience with improving tools for continuous integration and automated testing
-Exposure to GPUs.
-Familiarity with statistics, distributed systems or geospatial.
-Previous experience with data analytics.
