Job Opportunity:
We are seeking an Engineering Manager for our Frontend Engineering team. In this role you will be responsible for managing the frontend team and ensuring that our features are delivered on time with the highest levels of quality.


Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to set development priorities and create a technical roadmap
-Operate in a dynamic environment, adapting to new challenges and re-prioritizing when needed
-Assign and manage development work for each member of the team, focusing on skill level, strengths, and long-term career development
-Facilitate and moderate technical debates, seeking to resolve conflict and create buy-in
-Actively participate in design discussions and code reviews
-Build relationships with engineers by motivating and influencing them
-Manage engineers through providing feedback to help team members grow and be more effective, while recognizing and encouraging excellent performance
-Grow the team by recruiting, hiring, and on-boarding world-class engineers


Qualifications:
-BA/BS or higher degree in CS, Engineering, or related practical work experience
-5+ years of professional work experience in software product development, with at least 3 years experience managing technical teams
-Previous proven success in building, motivating, and mentoring an engineering team of 5+
-Javascript development experience
-Strong working knowledge of React and Redux Javascript frameworks
-Working knowledge of SQL query language
-Experience with analytics and/or analytics engines
-Previous experience shipping enterprise software products
-A passion for beautiful and easy-to-use tools
-Excellent people and conflict resolution skills and a positive can-do attitude
-Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills


Bonus:
-Familiarity with one or more of the following: statistics, advanced analytics, machine learning, distributed systems, or geospatial
-Starting and growing development teams at a startup is a HUGE plus
