Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Node.js)
Location: San Francisco, CA 94107

Our client has created a technology to turn 2D images into 3D models. Their mobile platform allows anyone to generate accurate digital 3D building data by simply taking a few photos with a smartphone. These 3D models are scaled, accurate, customizable, and are changing the way that people view and interact with their physical properties across spaces such as home improvement, property management, and insurance. They are well funded (VC s include Google and Menlo Ventures) and this is an excellent time to join as they have plans to double in size over the next year.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will be using your deep understanding and expertise in Node.js and ES6 to build backend services to support 3D initiatives. You should have a fundamental understanding of Node.js, ES6, modern javascript tools, and Docker. You should know how to optimize for performance when needed and have a passion for delivering quality and scalable software. You will be working closely with 3D graphics and rendering teams to deliver services that produce cutting-edge imagery based on customer needs.

This is a cross-functional role. You will work in coordination with other engineering teams (Frontend, Graphics, Automation, DevOps, QA) and non-engineering teams (Product, Design) to build and ship the highest quality products possible. You will be involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle from planning to deployment. You will be constantly finding just the right balance to ship as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest standards of quality. You ll be surrounded by driven, exceptional teammates that will be sure to make it fun along the way. You should be flexible, self-directed, driven and able to work well in a cross-functional team to succeed.

About You:

You have a passion for creating highly scalable, performant and robust backend applications. You believe that no feature is complete without good test coverage. You are always pushing yourself and your team to make better decisions and you know how to push features over the finish line to deliver truly amazing products and experiences.
