This position will report to the Director of Sales Engineering for North America, is based in Rockville, MD and involves frequent traveling in the US and Canada. This opportunity offers a competitive, comprehensive compensation package including full benefits.Job Opportunity:The Pre-Sales Engineer will be actively contributing to successfully closing deals by providing a detailed analysis of the customer requirements, participating in technical and business meetings, developing customer-specific value proposition, and delivering convincing demonstrations and Proofs-of-Concept.Experience Level: Mid-SeniorResponsibilities:-Provide technical and functional expertise during sales cycle.-Perform detailed analysis of prospective customers requirements (functional, technical)-Develop customer-specific value proposition.-Prepare and deliver generic or custom demonstrations of company ?'s Content Enrichment solutions.-Gather and prepare customer content for custom demonstration and/or Proof-of--Concept using the Content Enrichment platform and its Studio tools.-Contribute to answering RFPs and RFIs by writing the functional and technical sections in cooperation with the business team.Additional Duties:-Work closely with the Consulting Services team for large Proofs-of-Concept.-Participate in webinars, trade shows and conferences that showcase the software.-Potentially demonstrate products to Partners and take part in our business development activities.-Potentially participate in training for customers and partners.-When a prospect becomes a customer, extensively brief the Consulting Services team on the needs, potential integration and key benefits as well as share PoC results, transfer all relevant knowledge and insights to ensure successful deployments.-Closely work with Product Management to insure that customer requirements are properly captured and integrated in the product roadmap.-Closely work with Product Marketing to keep enhancing the value proposition and product presentations.-Stay abreast of all new Expert System product developments and always have the latest product information and version to execute the sales engineering tasks.-Share best practices and successful PoCs with all other Sales Engineers throughout the organization (worldwide).-Participate in worldwide weekly business reviews, weekly North American pre-sales meeting, and proactively share feedback.Requirements:-4+ years of consulting or pre-sales experience in related software markets such as -Enterprise Content Management, Publishing or Editorial Workflow, Enterprise Search, -Semantic Technologies or Knowledge Management.-Excellent knowledge of scripting languages and XML technologies.-Experience in implementing and using hosted (SaaS) software solutions using Web Services technologies.-Understanding of software integration architecture (API, Web Services).-Mission driven, ability to work with short time constraints in demanding customer environment.-Proactive, creative and innovative in order to provide solutions for the prospective clients needs.-Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills.-Strong organizational skills, process orientation and attention to detail.-Team player with leadership.-Ability to work with a sales CRM system; Salesforce experience a plus.Contact:Jon Piggins / Redfish TechnologyExecutive Recruiter, IT Sales & MarketingO: 208-788-8260E: jon[at]redfishtech[dot]comL: www.linkedin.com/in/jonpigginsF: www.facebook.com/RedfishTechT: twitter.com/RedfishTechG+ plus.google.com/+RedfishtechN: tinyurl.com/ylmtqqc/W: www.redfishtech.comNationwide High Tech Recruiting
