Simply put, with advancements in technology, they are able to send money anywhere in the world within a few hours and for a fraction of cost of what your bank is charging you.


Job Description
Our client is replacing banking technologies that have been stagnant for 30+ years. The Payments and Compliance Operations Lead will manage operational aspects of our global payment partnerships. You will be the first line to submit batches across all of our local payment disbursement partners and will also be the first in line to manage all payment exceptions. It is our client s duty to make sure that we have 100% delivery for all payments. The team will look at you to ensure payment delivery in the fastest and most efficient way possible.
You ll report directly to our Financial Controller.


The Role
- Assist with all aspects of payment and risk management operations. - Coordinating daily payment operations including settlement, funds distribution, and maintenance of operating balances.
- Ensure day-to-day operations tasks are completed with routine completeness and accuracy.
- Assist Operations and Customer Support teams to research and resolve customer inquiries related to payments.
- Submit payment batches and run testing batches for new partners on the payment network.
- Collaborate with the internal teams to understand payment related operational issues and work to resolve as best as possible.
- Provide regular reports on all aspects of payments status and speed of delivery.
- Support the accounting team with accounting reconciliations.


Requirements
- 3+ years payments experience in high- growth technology environments.
- Understanding of all aspects of a payment transaction, from payment acceptance, reconciliation, dispute resolution, and payouts.
- Entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to thrive under minimal guidance.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams, presenting to senior leadership and engaging external parties.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills must possess ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Possesses outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Low ego with impeccable professional references.
- Routine and detail-oriented and puts a high value on accuracy, organization, and completeness of work.
- Extremely responsive and empathetic to customer needs.
- Is proficient using Excel to create spreadsheets, models, and reports.
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline a plus.
