Since their founding in 2013 they've received numerous awards including Gartner's Cool Vendors designation, CRN's Top Ten Coolest Big Data Startups, Fast Company's Innovation By Design Award, and Barclay's Open Innovation Challenge. Recently they received a Series B round of 25 million and are rapidly scaling their team.Job Opportunity:We are looking for a Director of Application Design who will be responsible for guiding the user experience of one of our core products.Responsibilities:-Create and document visual designs-Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure accurate delivery of designs-Work with stakeholders to shape product design direction and anticipate future product needs-Contribute to team knowledge of design best practices and trends-Present and advocate for design options to executive managementQualifications:-7+ years designing state of the art web applications that users love-Excellent skills in visual design, interaction design, and prototyping/wireframing-Ability to think at a high level about product strategy-Ability to iterate on designs within a fast moving agile development process-Familiarity with usability testing to achieve immediately understandable design-An enjoyment of data analytics and a curiosity for discovering insights from data-An excellent portfolio of previous workBonus:-Previous work for a leading company in the data analytics space-Bachelor's degree or higher in Interaction Design, HCI, or equivalent-Ability to analyze usage patterns using tracking or A/B testing systems to inform design choices-Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present and guide discussion about design direction and rationale-Knowledge of CSS, HTML, and/or JavascriptContact:Meredith Dean / Redfish TechnologyExecutive Recruiter, IT DivisionP: 206-605-0096E: meredith[at]redfishtech[dot]comL: www.redfishtech.comRedfish Technology Building Growth-Mode Tech Companies with Hand-Picked Talent.
