As Director of Accounting, you will lead accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition and financial reporting at the company. You will help design and run efficient processes for timely and accurate financial statement preparation. This is a key role for a company that has grown very quickly over the last two years and is poised to grow to hundreds of employees in the near future.Responsibilities:
- Manage the outside accountants with a view towards bringing the function in house
- Run an efficient and accurate monthly financial close
- Oversee and improve all aspects of the day-to-day accounting and quote-to-cash cycle
- Work with sales operations on deal reviews and analysis
- Manage all billing, invoicing and collections
- Manage and ensure compliance with revenue recognition rules
- Oversee and improve all aspects of the day-to-day procurement to pay cycle
- Evaluate current processes and systems to identify areas for improvement
- Work in partnership with FP&A to develop forecasts
- Build relationships and work closely with other departmentsRequirements:
- 7-10 years of accounting experience at a top firm or technology company
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or highly quantitative field, CPA highly preferred
- Hands-on financial reporting experience at a Software as a Service company preferred
- Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Software as a Service revenue recognition, familiarity with ASC 606
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience hiring and managing a small team
- Ability to establish relationships and work with teams across the entire company
- Experience with Zuora billing software preferred
- Experience with audits preferredContact:
