Operating from San Francisco, the team applies data-driven agile design and development practices in building a distinctive personal finance app that makes it simple for families to collaboratively grow their money toward critical goals.Our client's app launched in late November 2017 and since hitting the App Store has already been featured in Apps We Love' and as the App of the Day' (January 2018). The team is now ramping up growth initiatives and drawing on user behavioral and account data to continue to make the app more effective - driven by a core mission of empowering millions of families to achieve more secure, happier financial lives.Opportunity:As the first dedicated data analyst/scientist joining our small and rapidly growing team, you'll lead efforts to constantly enhance the app's impact for users, distill product insights, inform marketing campaign strategy, build predictive models of user behavior and serve our client's engineering team with well-structured data products. You'll also lead ongoing feature A/B experimentation and scour rich proprietary subscription datasets for insights that shape the product.Responsibilities:- Help our client's users reach their financial goals faster and with less worry by building predictive models of behavior and personal financial needs- Shape our client's product features and investment policy by extracting actionable insights from in-app behavior and user account events - using tools like Mixpanel, Iterable, Kochava, AWS, Redshift, and others you want to use- Create data products that allow us to personalize and optimize our client's app engagement and marketing campaigns- Visualize and communicate findings in a compelling way to guide product, design, marketing and engineering colleagues- Generate, refine and execute experiments to guide feature development- Collaborate with our client's engineering team to guide data infrastructure / pipeline, architecture and data modeling- Refine and enrich collected data for team analysis and better decision-makingRequirements:- Passion for applying your analytics aptitude to improve lives- 3 - 5 years professional data science and/or engineering experience- Experience building and maintaining pipelines from production user data to actionable products- Proficiency using SQL, RedShift, Python, Ruby and/or R, including key data science libraries- Ability to learn new technologies and languages quickly- Interest in financial technology- A commitment to teamwork and collaboration- Ideally - experience using Mixpanel and JQL- Preferred - familiarity with investment management and financial services- Another huge plus - extensive experience building well-structured API endpointsWhat we offer:- A fun, supportive work environment- Big ambitions to improve lives at scale- Highly competitive compensation- Outstanding medical, dental, & vision insurance- Retirement plan coverage with an employer match- Life & Disability Insurance Coverage- Commuter benefits- A comfortable, pleasant office space, centrally located in the Financial District- Catered meals- Recurring offsite team events- Cool colleagues;)Contact:Walker CrossExecutive RecruiterRedfish TechnologyO: (208)788-8620E: Walker@redfishtech.com
